The report, produced by a committee of 16 experts from diverse fields, does not take a position but concludes that the concept should be studied. A new cryptocurrency called Chia, which has just begun trading, sets out to remedy these flaws while upholding cryptocurrency’s promise of a secure, decentralized form of payment.
